Founded in 1957, Joseph Ribkoff is an iconic designer, manufacturer and distributor of fashionable women’s apparel which is designed, sewn and produced in Canada and sold to 64 international markets. They are headquartered in Montreal where 400 of their 500 employees are based.  The Montreal location includes the corporate offices, production and warehouse facilities. 

OBJECTIVE: 


The Regional Sales Manager will be leading a team of Sales Representatives for the Western Canada market.  This role requires strong abilities in coaching, managing sales and implementing processes as well as working with the team on building strong relationships with existing and potential retailers while assuring the increase of sales revenue. 


RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Manage and coach sales team to ensure professional growth (hire, train, account reviews, succession planning, goal and objective setting)
  • Oversee region to ensure all customers are engaged, maintained and that all necessary strategies are employed to encourage financial growth and success
  • Ensure that all sales representatives adhere to corporate policies and procedures (manage and approve all expenses, cancelations and returns)
  • Responsible of following up route plans and respecting the booking deadlines
  • Weekly review on Best Sellers performance by sales representatives
  • Approval of all marketing, advertising and events in region
  • Travel required for minimum one week per sales representative per season
  • Periodic conference calls with sales representatives
  • Responsible for managing all openings and closings of the accounts
  • Follow up on regional operation (vehicle insurance, registration, USDOT, Visas, storage units, parking spaces, easy passes, sample shipments)
  • Develop strategies to grow sales and consistently meet or exceed sales objectives
  • Maintain and grow existing account base by effectively communicating the corporate values, beliefs and products to the new and existing customers;
  • Identify new potential business by reaching out to prospects and introducing Joseph Ribkoff brand
  • Responsible for all sales support, follow up and collection maintenance
  • Assists in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed
  • Proactively seek to expand the representation of the brand through events (trade shows & trunk shows)


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Minimum 5 -8 years of Management in Sales / preferably in fashion
  • Recognized competencies for leading and managing a sales team and the ability to positively influence 
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (strong listening) verbal and written communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop loyal business relationships with customers
  • Good business acumen, negotiation skills, leadership and influence
  • Ability to thrive in a competitive, dynamic and quota-driven environment
  • Effective analytical and territory planning skills
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Ready to travel within the territory
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and passport
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast past and dynamic environment
