HR/Talent Acquisition Administrator


Miller Waste Systems Inc. has been in operation since 1961. Miller is a leader in waste management, providing government and industries with a wide range of services in the provinces of Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Manitoba, Miller has 50 years’ experience in the waste management sector and operates out of 30 locations.



  • Provide admin support to the HR team with all HR-related activities.
  • Assist with the full cycle of the recruitment process – Job posting, resume screens, interviews, reference, and background checks, prepare offer packages, assist with on-boarding and first-day orientation.
  • Setting up new associates with required systems and tools (equipment, online platforms, email, etc.)
  • Support staff with the yearly performance management which includes training on the performance management system.
  • Assisting in the preparation of letters related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating.
  • Perform quality control of checks of employee files to ensure completeness and accuracy.



  • Must have 2-3 years of recent relevant experience in human resources or a related role.
  • 3+ years’ experience in HR administration, including preparation and administration of new hire orientations, employment agreements, collective agreements, etc.
  • Demonstrated discretion and ability to work with confidential information
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and preparation of reports and presentations
  • Adept at learning new software / systems
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently and accurately
