We, here at Factors Group, are looking for a SQL Database Administrator to join the team. Factors Group of Companies is a large organization, run like a small company. Our systems are run in house and we’re always looking for ways to improve!

You’re good at:

Database Management:

  • Oversee the maintenance and administration of SQL databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and data protection.
  • Monitor database systems to identify and address potential issues proactively.
  • Implement and enforce best practices for database design, development, and maintenance.

ETL Development and Monitoring:

  • Manage ETL processes, including SSIS and Azure Data Factory, overseeing both existing workflows and building new ones as needed.
  • Monitor ETL jobs in production environments, troubleshoot failures, and implement timely fixes to ensure uninterrupted data flow.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify areas for improvement in database management, data integration, and ETL processes.
  • Propose and implement enhancements to optimize performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Actively contribute to the development of strategies for future data integration needs and solutions.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective database and integration solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and other departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

 

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in SQL database administration, performance tuning, and security management.
  • Strong understanding of data integration concepts and techniques, with hands-on experience in ETL development.
  • Proficiency with SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and other relevant tools and technologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a timely manner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
