Your Accountabilities

  • As part of the growing team you will monitor plant health and implement the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program for the Nursery. Duties include:
    • Apply crop treatments safely and efficiently, including the spraying of pesticides
    • Maintain and calibrate spray equipment
    • Maintain accurate records and reports
    • Communicate and coordinate with other supervisors 
  • Promote a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Able to join other work crews as priorities require.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 
 

  • Tractor experience required. Forklift and other machinery operation would be an asset. 
  • Have, or be willing to obtain, your Grower Pesticide Safety Certification
  • Resourceful and work well independently 
  • Organized with good record keeping skills
  • This role is physically demanding and requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in an outdoor environment in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Ability to work full-time hours, with some evenings and weekends as seasonal peaks required.
