Replenishment Buyer

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Procurement, the Buyer role is critical to Sofina’s operation success.  The successful candidate will collaborate, and problem solve with operational team members and vendors to ensure supply of direct materials to our world class production facility.

Key Accountabilities:

• Vital to the day-to-day success of plant operations
• Ensure all plant material requirements are satisfied
• Understand supplier capabilities and develop strong relationships with vendors
• Negotiate with vendors to ensure items are delivered to the facility at the right time to support operational needs
• Instrumental in solving any production / supply related issue with operations stakeholders
• Aid in the development of inventory strategy plans
• Cross collaborate with other internal departments and vendors to ensure materials purchased are as per quality and regulatory specifications
• Support in the testing and commissioning of new materials, products and processes.

Requirements:

• University degree / College diploma in Business with or without Purchasing certificate, or professional engineering degree
