As an IT Helpdesk Analyst at Valens, you will be responsible for providing support to end users and finding solutions to their computer problems. You will diagnose and resolve problems in a timely manner, with a keen eye for detail. You have the patience to communicate with a variety of users and provide viable solutions to a variety of hardware and software problems in a fast-paced environment.



  • Troubleshoot and provide viable solutions to various hardware and software problems
  • Handle routine and basic technical issues and follow standard practices to address issues
  • Collaborate with other IT team members by escalating difficult issues which cannot be resolved with typical solutions
  • Install, configure, and deploy end user hardware and software
  • Provide software upgrades, debug software, and run diagnostics as needed
  • Provide user orientation and develop expertise to train staff on existing tools and technologies
  • Maintain records/logs of inventory, repairs, and fixes
  • Identify trends and patterns in computer issues, and propose solutions to address them
  • Assist in the implementation of cyber security measures through access controls, user training and technology
  • Contribute to establishing and implementing end user hardware and software standards
  • Assist with other project work, as assigned by management



  • BSc in Computer Science/Information Technology, diploma, or background in technology
  • 2 years of proven experience in an IT Support role
  • Comprehensive knowledge of end user hardware, software, printing, office productivity tools and cyber security
  • Experience with Windows 10, Microsoft O365, Teams, Adobe products, and anti-virus
  • Ability to communicate clearly via chat, email, phone and display strong listening skills
  • Excellent customer service by consistently demonstrating patience, understanding, respect and empathy
  • Excellent analysis, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate curiosity, enthusiasm, and resourcefulness
  • Passion for technology and keeping on top of industry trends
  • Ability to complete a satisfactory criminal record check
