A rare and exciting opportunity for a results driven, dynamic sales professional. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, this position will be responsible for driving hotel revenue through effective soliciting, prospecting and closing of assigned accounts. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who will best represent Ottawa’s premier four diamond accommodation and conference facility.



  • A minimum of 3-5 years direct sales experience in a major full service hotel or convention center
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written preferably in French and English
  • Must also have outstanding organizational and customer service skills as well as strong oral and written communication abilities
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Must be available for travelling as required for customer visits and industry events
  • Proficient in Windows O/S including Outlook, Word, Excel, Delphi FDC
  • Extremely comfortable with daily & weekly activity planning
  • Must operate with high integrity in delivering exceptional service to our guests
  • Convention market familiarity and established relationships an asset


Job Profile:

  • Soliciting new accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals
  • Managing client inquires with the intent of generating business opportunities
  • Maintaining good working relationships with existing clients while exploring ways to increase revenue
  • Direct sales calls and coordinating key sales initiatives (i.e. Sales blitzes, tradeshows)
  • Conducting site inspections and entertaining qualified potential clients in accordance with the Hotel’s policies
  • Participation in weekly sales meetings and daily business review meetings
  • Participation in industry and community organizations representing business opportunities for the Hotel
  • Client follow up post event to solicit repeat business
  • Assisting the Vice President of Sales & Marketing and revenue manager in preparation of the annual business plan and the development of sales objectives and strategies
